Three upcoming opportunities to build community in the movement for 100% student voter participation
NASPA, the American Democracy Project, and the SLSV Coalition are all hosting in-person events in the second half of 2025.
Great news for anyone interested in learning, exchanging ideas, and networking to support the movement for 100% student voter participation: The American Democracy Project’s Annual Summit, the Students Learn Students Vote Coalition’s National Student Vote Summit, and NASPA’s Civic Learning and Social Change Conference have all announced their dates and locations for later this year - and there’s still time to sign up for each!
You can still submit session proposals for NASPA’s CLSC Conference.
NASPA, which is dedicated to advancing student affairs in higher education, is hosting the Civic Learning and Social Change Conference (CLSC) December 8-10 in Long Beach, CA, with an early-bird registration deadline of October 10 to attend the event. The Fair Elections Center is supporting in organizing the conference's Civic Learning and Democratic Engagement Track, and many of its associated campuses are participating in the CLSC’s Planning Committee.
The Planning Committee is looking for research and presentations focused on student voting efforts for the program! The Call for Programs deadline is May 29. That means potential presenters have three more weeks to submit proposals for sessions ranging from 60 to 180 minutes that cover one or both of CLSC’s core tracks: Civic Learning and Democratic Engagement, and Leadership, Belonging, and Social Change. There will be a dedicated student track at the conference for the first time this year. Student-led presentations or presentations describing student-led efforts on campus are welcome and encouraged!
According to NASPA, the inaugural CLSC “will showcase the expertise of civic engagement professionals as catalysts for enhancing civic learning and social change through community, curiosity, advocacy, and strategic thinking.” This conference continues the long-standing CLDE tradition and is the only event that brings together student affairs administrators, faculty, community civic organizations, elections officials and students to share innovative practices and data-informed efforts to increase college student civic engagement.

Registration is still open for ADP’s 2025 Summit on July 13-14.
The American Democracy Project (ADP), a network of nearly 300 state colleges and universities collaborating to deepen the impact public higher education institutions have on preparing students for future success and civic engagement, is hosting its annual summit July 13-14 in Indianapolis.
The theme for this year’s summit is “Full Participation,” and aims to demonstrate the “resources and a community that exists to help build and grow civic engagement within higher education,” in order to show participants the value and interconnectedness of their on-campus civic engagement work.
Although presentation proposals are now closed, interested participants can still register to attend the Summit up until the event takes place in July. Click here to learn more and register.
The 2025 National Student Vote Summit is returning to College Park, MD, November 12-14.
At their April Coalition meeting, the Students Learn Students Vote (SLSV) Coalition, the largest nonpartisan network in the US dedicated to growing college student voter participation, announced that their annual gathering, the National Student Vote Summit (NSVS), is returning to the University of Maryland, College Park, this coming November 12-14.
While registrations for NSVS will likely open in June, college and university students, faculty, and staff members, as well as any nonprofit staff or philanthropic partners in the nonpartisan student voter engagement field, should mark down NSVS 2025’s date and location and stay on the lookout for upcoming communications about registration, travel, and lodging for the summit.
At NSVS 2025, participants can expect to network with members of the nonpartisan student vote movement from throughout the US, share valuable lessons learned with experts and practitioners from a broad array of institutions and organizations, attend dynamic and comprehensive trainings, and ignite a shared momentum toward the collective goals of the full SLSV Coalition.
